Because the study of psychology is an excellent foundation for many different types of careers, this is a popular major for students with a wide range of academic and professional interests. The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is designed for students who want to focus more on humanities and social sciences. If you prefer to focus your studies in the areas of mathematics and natural sciences, we also offer a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology. Both bachelor's degrees are available in-person and online.

Explore Classes for Psychology Majors
Psychology majors take a series of required courses that include Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods and a capstone Seminar. The second part of the degree explores five core areas of psychology, with classes in research, social, biological, psychological and diversity perspectives. Finally, psychology majors have an opportunity to expand or to focus their interests by choosing a set of psychology electives.
The University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Fairbanks offers both a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in psychology for undergraduates. Both degrees require the same course work in psychology but vary in the depth of math and science in other disciplines.
