The University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Fairbanks is a Land, Sea, and Space Grant university and an international center for research, education, and the arts, emphasizing the circumpolar North and its diverse peoples. ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ integrates teaching, research, and public service as it educates students for active citizenship and prepares them for lifelong learning and careers.
ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ was the first university in ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ to achieve accreditation nearly 90 years ago and was reaffirmed in February of 2021. The current accreditation cycle is reaching it's third year and preparations are long underway for the Mid-Cycle Self-Evaluation and Campus Peer Review.
