Arctic eTalks is hosted by 鈥淭he Watch鈥 Command Magazine, United States Northern Command, United States European Command, United States Indo-Pacific Command and the Center for Arctic Security and Resilience.
Arctic eTalks is a monthly forum for open discussion (non-attribution) on key issues affecting the Circumpolar Arctic for academics, defense and security professionals, and military leaders from Canada, Finland, Iceland, Kingdom of Denmark (Greenland and Faroe Islands), Norway, Sweden, and the United States
Sessions typically run about 90 minutes, with a 30-minute recorded presentation followed by a 60-minute moderated discussion. While the presentation recording is normally posted on the website, the discussion is not. Please ensure to join the event to take part and listen to the Q&A session.

Arctic eTalks - December 2021 - featuring Christina Henriksen
Biography:
The President of the Saami Council is from Girkonj谩rga/Kirkenes, where the Norwegian side of S谩pmi borders Finland and the Russian Federation. She represents the Norwegian Saami Association (Norgga S谩miid Riikkasearvi) in the Council and served as a Member of the S谩mi Parliament (Norwegian side) for one period (2013-2017). Ms Henriksen鈥檚 academic background comprises political, social and religious science, Russian history and French and North S谩mi languages. She has professional experience from the Barents Euro-Arctic Cooperation, including cooperation with indigenous partners and organizations in the north and project cooperation with Russia, as well as from EU relations in Brussels. She is also an educated teacher. Ms Henriksen has been in the leadership of S谩mi organizations for 20 years, she has held positions in various boards and committees, and was the Director of the Board for the Riddu Ri膽膽u Festival (2015-2019).Publications:
