The nation continues to grapple with violence as evidenced by the recent shootings in Atlanta, Georgia, and Boulder, Colorado. Discrimination and violence are antithetical to our ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ value of belonging and our strategic goal of growing our culture of respect, diversity, inclusion and caring. As a university, we must be a place where faculty, staff, students and community members feel safe and welcome, free from fear for who we are or where we come from.
|
Each one of us is an important part of a community that is richer and stronger because of its diversity. Education and civil discourse are key to turning differences into a constructive and collective future. In that spirit I ask everyone at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ to do your part to make ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ a place of belonging, where we can live, study, and work in safety and security, and where we grow as a community enriched by diversity and inclusion.

Thank you for playing your part and thanks for choosing ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
