Dear students,Ìý
Welcome to the fall semester! I hope everyone enjoyed their summer and is ready to
hit the ground running this fall. Whether this is your first semester as a student
or you are returning to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ to pursue your degree, thank you for choosing ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ. We
are glad you are here.Ìý
At New Student Orientation last week, I shared my number one tip for being successful
in college: show up. That is, get engaged in the breadth of activities available to
you at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ. This semester, I encourage you to focus on showing up. Not just for your
classes, though that is critical, but for yourself and others. Cheer on the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ
Nanooks at an athletics game, join a club, and find your community. Ask for help when
you need it. Our staff and faculty are here to support you.
I hope that whether you are studying on one of our campuses or via distance you make
the most of your ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ experience. Best of luck for an excellent semester.
Thank you for choosing ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
