Yukon Flats Region

The Yukon Flats Region is comprised of nine Interior ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñn communities which lie along the Yukon River and its tributaries. Only two communities, Circle and Central, are connected to the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Highway system. The other seven communities are accessible by airplane and/or boat.  The population of the region is approximately 1,320 people.  Approximately 86% are ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Native, predominantly Athabascan.
