15th annual food drive for Student Support Services
The 15th annual Student Support Services food box collection is underway to help support SSS students in need during the long holiday break. It is our goal to collect as much food as possible to assemble food boxes for these students and their families by Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. Food boxes are given to 25-30 students and their families (many include small children).
Any amount of money can also be donated for the purchase of perishable items such as eggs, bread, butter, and milk. Please bring all non-perishable food items and cash donations to 514 Gruening Building (the Student Support Services office) or 510 Gruening Building (Academic Advising Center office) for collection.
Any and all extra non-perishable food will be donated to the Wood Center Food Pantry to help other ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ students in need. The mission of SSS is to serve students who are either first-generation college students, students with documented disabilities, and/or limited-income students.
We need everyone’s help to spread holiday cheer to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ students in need. So while you're out doing your holiday shopping this weekend, consider throwing a couple of extra items in your cart. Please pass this information to all who wish to be involved. Thank you so much!
