Last call: Staff professional development fund

Staff Council has determined there are a limited amount of funds left over from the initial offering for those who missed the first deadline. Once approved, procurement must be made prior to May 27 for the end of the Fiscal Year. Applicants are requested to apply only if they know they can purchase or encumber the funds prior to the deadline.

This funding was provided by President Pitney as part of the FY22 budget, as a pool for specialized training and small professional development grants.

ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ's allocation of these funds is limited to a final $3,000. Justification must be clearly applicable to the applicant's personal professional development, not necessarily the department the applicant works for. Individual requests will be limited to $500, and funds are on a first come, first served basis.

The deadline for application submission is May 27, 2022. The will be closed when this goal has been met.

ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Staff Council has agreed applications can include the following examples (if a request does not quite fit, still submit it for evaluation):

  1. Professional organization membership and dues
  2. Online training
  3. Online conferences
  4. Professional webinars

Reimbursement for previous FY22 events is authorized as long as the payment occurred in FY22 and reimbursement is requested prior to May 27, 2022. The above conditions still apply. If an applicant is approved for funding, they must submit their procurement request or employee reimbursement request to their procurement officer no later than May 27, 2022.
