Call for proposals: BLaST faculty pilot project awards
The Biomedical Learning and Student Training program invites proposals for BLaST faculty pilot project awards. BLaST engages students from diverse backgrounds in education and training for biomedical research careers, with an emphasis on students from rural ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ. BLaST has adopted a One Health approach to biomedical research and encourages investigators to address health issues related to subsistence living.
Faculty from Fort Lewis College, Salish Kootenai College, ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Pacific University, Dine College, Ilisagvik College, and all UAS and ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ campuses, from all racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds are invited to apply.
BLaST faculty pilot project awards will run July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024. The award period is subject to change based on NIH approval process and official Notice of Award. BLaST will provide up to $20,000 (direct costs per year) for two years with an additional $10,000 (direct costs per year) for projects conducted by rural or partner campus faculty members, or in rural ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñn locations.
