Campus-wide rekey update
The campus-wide rekeying project is moving ahead smoothly, and Facilities Services is now on the brink of completing the second phase of buildings.
Here's a quick rundown of what's been happening:
Completed buildings: The rekeying project has successfully covered major buildings including Duckering, Usibelli, ETTM, West Ridge Research, Elvey, Physical Plant, Brooks, Chapman, Harper, Murie, Constitution, University Park, Wood Center, Signers' Hall, Rasmuson Library, Fine Arts, and Gruening.
Upcoming completion: The final buildings in this phase, namely Irving I, Irving II, and O’Neil, are on track for completion. Irving I and II will be finished by the end of November, with O’Neill following suit in December. Once these are done, we'll have covered over 60% of the entire campus!
Next phase: Looking ahead, the last phase kicks off in January, starting with the Arctic Health Research building. The Bunnell and Reichardt buildings will follow closely behind, with the rest of the buildings coming up afterward.
Collaboration for a smooth transition: Throughout this process, Facilities Services is maintaining close communication with building authorities finalizing keying layouts, coordinating schedules, and ensuring minimal disruptions during the transition and installations. Your patience is highly appreciated as we work to enhance campus security. Thank you for your ongoing support as we work toward a safer and more secure campus environment!
