"Dolors Alberola" Poetry Prize
We are pleased to announce the 2nd "Dolors Alberola" International Poetry Prize, which
aims to expand knowledge and reading of poetry from all over the world. The distinctive
feature of the contest is that it allows any writer to participate in any language
of the world. We are aware of the enormous challenge that this entails in the case
of poetry, but we are especially engaging to serve as a real meeting point between
writers and to promote the exchange between literary cultures. To this end, I am writing
to you to thank the dissemination of the award and to encourage poets to participate
in the contest.
We invite writers worldwide to enter the competition with an unpublished collection
of poems (500-800 lines) in any official language of the world. Poems may be on any
subject in any form or style.
The Jury of Honour will include Dolors Alberola, a renowned Spanish poet.
Prizes: a) Winner: translation to another European language, publication of the collection
(bilingual edition), 50 copies of the book and royalties on the publisher's edition.
b) Finalists: Publication of the collection (in Spanish), 10 copies of the book, royalties
on the publisher’s edition.
Entry is FREE but limited to one collection per individual entrant. Submission will
be made online with a closing date for entries of Jan. 31, 2023.
