A statewide webinar will teach participants how to design a competitive exhibit, like these at the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ State Fair in 2022, to showcase their handiwork.

If your turnips are terrific and your dahlias delightful this summer, display your green thumb at the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ State Fair in August.

The University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service has invited Kathy Liska, the fair’s crop superintendent and a master gardener, to lead a free webinar on how to participate in the competitive exhibits at the fair, which runs Aug. 16-Sept. 2 in Palmer.

Liska will explain the submission process, judging criteria and other guidelines. She may even share a tip or two on how to take home the win.

The webinar is 6-7 p.m. on Monday, July 22, and is available statewide. Preregister via Zoom at .
