February museum programs explore DNA

The University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Museum of the North’s February hands-on programs will focus on DNA.
Families with children 5 and under are invited to drop in at Early Explorers on Friday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m.-noon. Create and discover with hands-on activities in the Creativity Lab, and explore the galleries.
Junior Curators, designed for children 6 and older with an adult, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 2-4 p.m. Drop in for activities and a themed scavenger hunt.
Family Day: DNA will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, from noon-4 p.m. Visitors can meet museum researchers, explore how scientists use DNA, build a DNA model and try a scavenger hunt. There is no admission fee for children 14 and under at Family Days, thanks to support from TOTE.
These programs are included with admission and are free for members.
