Emeriti nominations for Commencement 2023 - Due Jan. 28, 2023
Nominations for emeritus/emerita professor may originate from the dean or director with a support letter from senior faculty, or from faculty working through the unit peer review committee. A confirmation of retirement/resignation in a form of official letter is also required. Emeriti nominations for Commencement 2023 must be received by Jan. 28, 2023, via nomination submission form.
Emil Usibelli nominations for excellence in Teaching, Research, and Service 2023 - Due Feb. 13, 2023
The Emil Usibelli Distinguished Teaching, Research and Public Service Awards have been presented annually to three faculty members each year since 1992. These three $10,000 awards go to individuals who display extraordinary excellence in teaching, research and public service — the areas representing the tripartite mission of the University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Fairbanks. Individuals receiving the awards will be exemplary in their contributions to the discovery, communication and use of knowledge. The deadline for nominations for the 2021 Emil Usibelli Distinguished Teaching, Research and Service Awards must be received by Feb. 13, 2023, via nomination submission form.
Honorary degree nominations for Commencement 2024 - Due Feb. 28, 2023
Honorary degree recipients are selected one year in advance of awarding the degree. Nominations may be submitted to the Office of the Provost at any time during the year. Once a letter of nomination is received in the Provost's Office, a file for the candidate is constructed. Each candidate file should contain an initial letter of nomination and a minimum of three or four letters supporting the nomination. The person submitting the initial letter of nomination should also include a curriculum vitae or biography for the candidate. Honorary degree nominations for Commencement 2024 must be received by Feb. 13, 2023, via nomination submission form.
