Register for intro to strength training class
This class is free with Nanook Recreation membership. The is a class for those new
to strength training. The six-week class is progressive in nature, and you will learn
the basic concepts and safety considerations when resistance training.
The class will go over selectorize (resistance training machines), free weights (dumbell
and barbell exercises), functional strength movements and how to design a basic strength
program. Individual needs will be considered when teaching new exercises, and modifications
can be made to for a variety of skill levels.
