Spring Mental Health First Aid training

Student Health and Counseling will continue to offer Mental Health First Aid training to the UA community throughout the spring 2024 semester. The next course will be held virtually via Zoom on March 28 and 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

Mental Health First Aid is a public education program that teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges.

The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

Participants complete a 2-hour, self-paced online course. Following this, learners participate in a 8-hour virtual or in-person instructor-led training (4 hours on two consecutive days).

The cost is $25 per participant.

Participants MUST be able to commit to both days of the training to complete MHFA certification.
