Taber to serve as continuous improvement project manager

Samara Taber is transitioning to a new position as the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ continuous improvement project manager. Taber has served as the executive director of university advancement and a member of the chancellor’s core cabinet since 2020. She will start her new role on Nov. 6, 2023. 

In her new position, Taber will continue her commitment to solving complex problems and advancing the university's mission by leading strategic enrollment planning initiatives and guiding process improvement projects throughout the university. Taber will work with faculty, staff and students to develop resources, training and services to improve organizational effectiveness and capacity.  

Taber is the current co-chair of the SEP committee and has been heavily involved since its inception five years ago. Her career at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ began in 2013 with the Office of Development, where she developed measures to advance communication with ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ alumni, donors, students, employees and friends. Taber has served in a variety of roles at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, including interim associate vice chancellor for enrollment management, director of admissions and interim ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ executive officer. 

Chancellor White will open a recruitment to fill the position of executive director of university advancement in the coming weeks.
