ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ CTC Culinary Arts students on track with training event
Culinary Arts and Hospitality student Alex Adams serves a course to guests on the 2024 HooDoo Choo-Choo.
On Sept. 28, students, faculty and staff from ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ CTC Culinary Arts joined with the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Railroad and HooDoo Brewery to provide food service for 250 guests on a train ride from Fairbanks to Nenana and back. This allowed students to participate in a community favorite event, practicing service, food production and event planning.
Culinary Arts and Hospitality has participated in the HooDoo Choo-Choo since 2019, incorporating recipe production
into classes and volunteer prep time. Led by program director Sean Walklin and assistant
professor Hannah Prenger, the students excelled and the guests raved about the food
and service.
