ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Wear Purple Day for survivors of domestic violence

Join ORCA and ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ friends in recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October.

What is DVAM?
Domestic Violence Awareness Month is observed every October, bringing together advocates nationwide in a unified effort to end domestic violence. During this month, communities and advocacy organizations across the country join forces to raise awareness, promote prevention, and stand in solidarity against domestic violence.

Why is DVAM important?
DVAM offers an opportunity for everyone—victims, survivors, advocates, supporters, and political leaders—to come together in a shared mission to end domestic violence. It is a time of unity, support, and empowerment. For victims and survivors, DVAM provides a platform to share their stories, fostering healing and encouraging awareness.

By speaking out together during October, we amplify our voices and deepen collective understanding of this critical issue. It is only through collaboration and persistent advocacy that we can hope to bring an end to domestic violence.
