Week’s events: Terry Reichardt, aging in place, painting on location, Kinky Slinky

University of Ӱ Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer. Here is what’s happening during the week of July 17-23:

  • On Monday, July 17, the Fairbanks Tall Timbers interview series honors Terry Reichardt. The interview is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater, located on the fourth floor of the Usibelli Building.
  • On Tuesday, July 18, the Healthy Living lecture series will feature Beth Grey, Aging and Disability Resource Center project manager at Fairbanks Senior Center. She will discuss “Aging in Place: A Plan for the Future You in Fairbanks” at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
  • On Wednesday, July 19, the Discover Ӱ lecture series will feature Klara Maisch, visual artist, presenting “Painting on Location in Ӱ: Landscapes in the Context of Change” at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
  • On Thursday, July 20, the Music in the Garden concert series will host Kinky Slinky at 7 p.m. at Ӱ’s Georgeson Botanical Garden.

All events are free and open to the public. Parking on the Ӱ Troth Yeddha’ Campus is free after 5 p.m.
