BIO
Emily Alvarado is a mechanical engineering Ph.D. student at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ. She has been partnering with ACEP to investigate the impact of turbulence flow on current energy converts. After receiving her B.S. from Clarkson University and getting involved in vortex-induced vibration research, pursuing a graduate degree with a heavy focus on fluid dynamics was a natural transition.
Alvarado currently works remotely from Juneau, ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, and has been enjoying lots of whale watching and hiking.
