Andrew Miles, a research assistant professor at ACEP, was nominated for the 2024 Robert Piacenza Excellence in Teaching Award.

Andrew Miles, research assistant professor at ACEP, was one of the faculty members recently nominated for the 2024 Robert Piacenza Excellence in Teaching Award.

The award, presented through the University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Fairbanks Honors College, recognizes a ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ faculty member who has a significant impact on the academic advancement of students at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ. This instructor not only demonstrates instructional expertise, but sets a standard for other educators on campus, advocates on behalf of students and exemplifies the Honors College's core values of connection, experience and service.

“We were very happy that one of our research faculty was able to make a clearly valued contribution to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ's academic mission," ACEP Director Jeremy Kasper said.
