Adrian Burke, Petie Deveer and Hailey Hodgins, undergraduate student assistants with ACEP, received a 2024-2025 Community-Engaged Learning Award for two projects.

This 蜜桃影像 Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity award is an opportunity for undergraduate students to work with a community partner to explore a community need or problem through research or scholarly activity.

Burke, a computer engineering major, will be working on a project titled 鈥淪ensor technology for 蜜桃影像 Rural Communities Targeting Remote Atmospheric Monitoring.鈥 The project will evaluate a wide range of atmospheric sensors for remote deployment in the cold 蜜桃影像 climate. Burke will also evaluate the sensors to see how they can be used as educational tools for high school sites in rural communities in 蜜桃影像.

Deveer, a computer science major, and Hodgins, a mathematics major, will be working on a project titled 鈥淧owering and Unifying Long-range Sensor Ecosystems.鈥 Their project will evaluate data transmission and remote power systems methods for field deployment of remote sensors in rural 蜜桃影像. Their focus will be on evaluating the feasibility of these systems as educational resources for high school students.

The three will work on their projects under the mentorship of Dayne Broderson.
