Ian Ludwig on CBSM Opportunities Outside the Classroom
Receiving a CBSM education is about more than learning in a classroom or out of a textbook. Numerous opportunities are available for experiential learning. This happens through offerings such as the Professionally Polished program and student organization involvement. These unique experiences teach students skills such as time management, prioritization, teamwork, and marketing. Networking opportunities are abundant to match our students with potential employers. Guest speakers from around the nation provide a boost to topics covered in classes. CBSM students often say these opportunities have a huge impact on their overall educational experience - as well as their career path after graduation.
Ian Ludwig, a 2022 business administration alumnus, shares his thoughts on the opportunities provided by an education at CBSM:
"CBSM provided numerous opportunities beyond the classroom to learn, network and discover my career options. It was through events such as the Professionally Polished Program I was able to build a professional wardrobe and gain confidence in my personal brand. As a member of the Associated Students of Business student organization, I traveled to San Francisco to represent ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ for the National Millenial and GenZ Community. NMGZ is a group of like-minded individuals who aim to break down stereotypes that revolve around our generation. We met with business executives across the country and had open conversations with leaders from Google, Bentley’s Coffee, and Wells Fargo. It was encouraging to hear successful entrepreneurs share their hardships alongside their successes. It inspired me to try new ventures and take leaps of faith as I move forward as a young professional in the real estate industry."
