Anupma Prakash, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor
Charlene Stern, Interim Vice Chancellor, Rural, Community and Native Education
The University of Ӱ System policy states that vaccination requirements may only be made by exception and must be approved by the President at the request of the Chancellor.
I have received your requests for a vaccination requirement for the following:
FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS IN SUMMER 2022 HIGH CONTACT/HIGH DURATION LABORATORY CLASSES
These classes will be individually identified and approved by the Vice Chancellor for Rural, Community and Native Education for CRCD/CTC classes or by the Provost for all other classes.
Based on your request and President Pitney’s approval, I am herewith authorizing a vaccination requirement (with medical and non-medical-religious exemptions) for that purpose.
Please see the procedures laid out in the September 17, 2021 memo from Chief Human Resources Officer Bishko titled “Guidelines for Supervisors Regarding COVID-19 Vaccinations and Face Coverings” (). The memo has links to exemption forms for employees. Student exemptions are issued by the Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities (non-medical), or the Student Health and Counseling Center (medical). The memo can be found at:
