Outreach

C-SSHRP education and training is not limited to professional training modules and classroom curricula, however. The Center envisions a web-based presence that will increase public education and awareness about the hazards planning and emergency response, building on the role and resources of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ as a land, sea, and space grant university. Through the appropriate use of web-based infrastructure and social media, C-SSHRP will provide a wealth of information on and visual understanding of the conditions, capabilities, and plans of stakeholders for emergency operations. This ensures that the general public is well informed and can engage meaningfully in policy discourse as the world must address growing populations in hazardous locations, climate change, and political instability and conflict.
