Festival of Native Arts

The Festival of Native Arts provides cultural education and sharing through traditional Native dance, music, and arts. The Festival continues the University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Fairbanks student-led tradition that began in 1973 of bringing together artists, performers, and performance groups in a celebration of Native cultures.

Indigenous Peoples Day

Indigenous Peoples' Day honors ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Native people, culture and knowledge. The unanimous support for this special day acknowledges how the contributions of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Native peoples and Indigenous knowledge enhance education provided by the University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ. Indigenous Peoples' Day is recognized on the second Monday of October.

Native American Heritage Month

To pay tribute to the rich ancestry and traditions of Native Americans and ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Native people, the University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ-Fairbanks joins the country in celebrating National Native American Heritage Month.
