Google sunsets Universal Analytics, will replace with Google Analytics 4
June 10, 2022
Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google's next-generation measurement solution, replaces Universal Analytics on July 1, 2023. During the summer of 2022, websites managed by OIT will change from Universal Analytics to GA4. If your website is not managed by OIT through Omni CMS (formerly OU Campus), your site's owner will be responsible for adding the new GA4 properties that make the change from Universal to GA4 possible.

OIT upgrading service request tool

Any OIT customer submitting a support request using the self-service option through OIT's Service Catalog will notice a slight change later this month. Users should expect to see a new interface when filling out request forms on the OIT website, but should not expect any interruptions or disruptions in service as a result of this upgrade.

Mr. Leiweke gave me a tour of the new Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle and we discussed potential opportunities that lie ahead for a partnership between the Seattle Kraken and the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Nanooks. He asked me why I support athletics. My response was simple. Because it matters. It doesn't matter a little. It matters a lot. It matters to the athletes and their families, and importantly, it matters to our future as a university.

Hueffer to serve as acting CNSM dean

Provost Anupma Prakash has appointed Karsten Hueffer to serve as the acting dean of the College of Natural Science and Mathematics. Hueffer is a tenured professor and CNSM associate dean for veterinary medicine. He joined the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ faculty in 2006. Hueffer will take over for Kinchel Doerner, who served as CNSM dean for the last three years. Doerner resigned earlier this month.

Reminder to users of Adobe Creative products

Adobe's license agreement with the university has been updated and no longer includes free Keyserver access to Adobe software. Beginning in early May of this year, Adobe customers who use the university's Keyserver to access the software-- programs like InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop -- can start using these products through Adobe Creative Cloud @ UA (Adobe CC @ UA), the new discounted subscription-based alternative to Adobe Creative Suite.
