Scholarships

There are many scholarship opportunities for philosophy students at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.

The first step in the scholarship process is to visit the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Financial Aid website and begin the paperwork process. The deadline for this is February 15.

Scholarship opportunities within the department

There are various scholarships available to philosophy students. Please contact the department for more information. 

 

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for tuition and other related educational expenses to undergraduate students at the sophomore level or higher, or graduate students who are majoring in any of the fine visual arts at the University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Fairbanks.

If the original purpose cannot be fulfilled for any reason, the scholarship shall instead be awarded to Literature, Philosophy, Music, Performing Arts, or English students. 

Scholarship

Minimum $500 per academic year

Purpose: To provide scholarships to students studying philosophy and humanities at the University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Fairbanks, College of Liberal Arts.

Scholarship

$1,000 per academic year

Purpose: To support philosophy students, based on need and recommendation by the chair of the Philosophy program.
