The Non-Conventional Modes of Travel (NCMT) form is needed when the field team will be traveling by chartered or private plane, helicopter, or boat (except a ferry), snow machine, ATV, or any other unique conveyance. It is not required for snow shoeing, skiing, or vehicle travel. The NCMT form is required to be submitted to the Travel Department when requesting for reimbursement.
If your trip includes any of the following, please contact the Campus Safety Officer
at 474-5476.
- Use of Fall Protection equipment
- Confined Space Entry (caves, ice caves, mines, manholes, etc.)
- Working in an Excavation more than four feet (4') in depth
- Use of a firearm
If your trip includes any of the following, please contact the Risk Manager at 474-5487
- Volunteers
- International Travel
- Family Accompaniment
- Students who are not ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ employees
To ship hazardous materials to or from a field location (including fuel), contact the Hazardous Material coordinator
at 474-5617.
When the field trip includes a minor, contact the Protection of Minors Manager at 474-6015.
If driving on ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ business, refer to the Risk Management tab on this website to complete your driver documents.
