A unified, consistent use of the University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Fairbanks name and logo is vitally important to the image of our institution. I know you understand the value of conveying a message to the public that portrays ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ as a sophisticated, modern and dignified teaching, research and public service facility.

The uniform implementation of key elements related to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ's institutional identity will ensure that our employees, our students and the public recognize us as a single entity. it is imperative that information from your areas about programs, accomplishments, departments or colleges be immediately identified as products of the University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Fairbanks.

The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ logo, developed in 1997 in conjunction with stepped-up student marketing initiatives, now includes a distinctive polar bear image in the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ's traditional blue. The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ name and its logo are registered trademarks. I encourage you to use the updated marks in all your communications. After depleting your existing stock, please incorporate the updated logo on your business stationery, envelopes, business cards, etc.
