What is the AU-ABC program?
University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Fairbanks is one of a select few universities who chose to partcipate in the . This partnership determines which Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) AAS degree or degrees link to select online ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ bachelor's degree programs. This program allows airmen and guardians to transfer most of their CCAF degree into an online bachelor’s degree program.

ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s has earned the ensuring you can complete a quality degree no matter where you are stationed.
How long are courses at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ?
Fall and spring semesters are 16 weeks with shorter courses offered throughout the semester. Summer semester has two 6 week sessions and one 12 week session.
Current ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ degrees available through AU-ABC:
ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ degrees currently offered are classified as a Category III program for all CCAF degree programs. In as little as 67 credits you can earn one of the following University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Fairbanks degrees if you have completed your CCAF AAS degree.

- Student has multiple options for general education requirements within the AAS degree and courses might transfer in differently depending on which courses the student chooses. However, ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ has several GEM-approved courses that students can take to meet their general education requirements. These can be found here: https://uaf.edu/veterans/students/gem.php
- When possible, it is recommended that the student take general and program electives for the AAS that count toward the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ general education requirements including the following (if not taken as part of the AAS general education requirements) as part of the AAS degree: two natural science courses with labs, math at the precalculus level or higher, statistics, foreign language courses, oral communication and a second written communication course.
- If students can complete the recommended courses above during their AAS degree, they will have fewer than 60 college credits to complete their BAM degree at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
- In order to satisfy the oral communication requirement at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, the course needs a minimum of five speeches. Make sure to include any additional information that is needed for transfer credit to determine course equivalency if oral communications course is not taken through ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
- Grades of C or better are needed to transfer to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
- Grades of C- or better are needed in all courses taken at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
- A total of 120 credits are needed to earn a bachelor’s degree from ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
- This sample schedule is based on an AAS degree of 64 credit hours. The actual number of transfer credits awarded will be based on the number of courses successfully completed at CCAF or another regionally accredited school prior to transfer and may be more or less than 64 credit hours.
