Undergraduate Programs

Prospective Undergraduate Students

Welcome, future Nanook! Thank you for your interest in our undergraduate programs here at the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences. We offer a Bachelor of Arts in Fisheries, a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Marine Sciences, a Minor in Fisheries, and a Minor in Marine Science. Please feel free to explore our site and reach out to us at the Academic Programs Office at uaf-cfos-academics@alaska.edu if you have any questions.

At CFOS, we emphasize the importance of learning not only in the classroom, but also through hands-on experiences: internships, research in the lab and out in the field, and the opportunity to work directly with fisheries and marine sciences professionals in different communities across ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.

We also offer undergraduate students the unique option of studying at other University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ campuses for a portion of their undergraduate degree. This program provides flexibility to students and allows them to take advantage of the diverse opportunities found in ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s coastal and Interior communities.

CFOS has fisheries facilities in both Fairbanks and Juneau. We have students and faculty located in Fairbanks, Juneau, and spread across the state of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, so most of our courses are offered via distance delivery.

Begin your studies at any UA campus, and finish in Fairbanks or Juneau!
