My professional fisheries work has been focused primarily on salmon. I am currently doing some work on physical habitat disturbance mechanisms which have knock-on effects for salmon. I plan to return to working directly with salmonids with ADF&G after my time at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.
Do interesting work with fisheries management and research in a non-academic setting.
My current research aims to better understand the impacts of human disturbance on physical habitat parameters which have knock on effects for lake spawning sockeye salmon. The primary focus of this work is gaining a better understanding of the role that watercraft wakes are playing in accelerating erosion rates along ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñn lakeshores, using Big Lake as a case study.
