Climate adaptation training brings tribal communities together

Earlier this month, a cohort representing twelve ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ tribal communities across western and interior ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ gathered at the International Arctic Research Center to attend a Tribal Climate Adaptation 101 training led by the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Tribal Resilience Learning Network within the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Climate Adaptation Science Center at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ.

Today is Veterans Day. Veterans are essential to what we have been and are essential to what we will be. This day of honor and recognition is about taking a moment to feel and express gratitude as we contemplate this generous gift of service. This specific date is rooted in the end of the First World War. Originally known as Armistice Day, the date was chosen to commemorate the armistice agreement which ended the First World War effective on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. Just as this day is rooted in the end of that historic conflict, ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ's origins are tied to its beginning.

The University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Foundation Board of Directors is accepting nominations for the 2023 Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence. The prize, which includes a $20,000 award, is presented to an individual who demonstrates excellence in support of the University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ. Any UA student, faculty, staff, alumni or volunteer who has made a significant contribution to the mission of the University of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ system, UAA, ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ, or UAS is eligible to be nominated.

URSA announces Community Engaged Learning Award

Design contest for student artwork extended to Dec. 6

Small grants support needs of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Native non-profits

The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Center for Climate Assessment and Policy awarded grants up to $50,000 each to four regional non-profit organizations. The groups will use the funding to enhance capacity for resilience and climate adaptation in ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Native and rural communities.
