Pi Sigma Alpha (PSA)

The Political Science Department hosts a local chapter of the National Political Science Honors Society, Pi Sigma Alpha (PSA). The PSA offers an opportunity for students to contribute to their campus community as emerging political scientists. In the past, the PSA has played a formative role in organizing social events on campus, as well as debates and talks by academics and politicians. The national PSA office offers chapter activity grants each fall of up to $2,000 per chapter to encourage and support creative student programming. The national office also holds an annual student research conference every February, and offers a number of scholarships and best paper prizes. The national undergraduate journal is published twice a year. Overall, the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ branch and national office for the PSA work together to support student research and on campus activities led by political science students. Upon graduation, students can include Honors Society membership on their resume and proudly wear graduation regalia when they accept their diploma. If you have any questions about the PSA, please contact the PSA faculty advisor, Dr. Jeremy Speight.
